Canyonning

At the beginning of last century the enourmous volumes of water from the melting snow from the Tyssevalley was forced through a 2m wide and up to 50 m deep rift in the mountain called "The throat". The result was a stunning scenario - at that time one of the most famous tourist attraction in the young Norwegian nation.

Today this spetacular scenery is gone- the water is being used for enviromental friendly energy.

However a new touristattraction is born.

Today FlatEarth adventures can launch a canyonning route going through the "throat" or "Svelget" as the local say.
Equipped with helmets, lifejackets, thick wetsuits, neoprene boots and gloves + the rest of the necessary equipment - guests are guided through "The Throat".

It is a unique canyonning track, where you walk, climb, jump, slide, swim, abseil in order to get through to the other side.
Medium physical ability is required and the age limit is 12 years.

We look forward to guide you.
