Down Hill Mountain Biking
The spectacular old road from Olso to Bergen, has been blocked for normal traffic and represents today a unique path for hiking & biking. The road follows the outside of the tunnels and offers the possibility to experience the stunning nature close up.
Descending from the highest part of the road crossing the Hardanger National Park you have a downhill ride of more than 30 km ending at the FlatEarth Center. If you stop along the road and and take a small hike on the Hardangervidda the flora and fauna will greet you with all it's splendour - and be prepared to be greeted by "wild animals" directly on the road as well!
Also the steeper ride down from Hjølmoberget ( 17 km) is very spectacular and popular, larger sections of this distance is dirt road.
The likewise scenic biking routes at the Eidfjordvannet, Eidfjord, the Sima fjord/valley and the tracks around the FlatEart Activity Centre are flat and require less concentration.
